The Dining Room could be accessed from the side hall or from the back stairs. The corner cupboard, built by Henry Slaugh, contained pieces of Tucker China from Philadelphia. The empire sideboard came from the Carver family of Philadelphia. Above the sideboard was an oil painting by Isabel Cartwright entitled “Monhegan Island”. On the opposite was was another oil painting of an Italian Lake by Lucille Howard.
